Kirk-Face
Now, I know I promised a look into the whole Jelly-Gate issue but during that research something else happened. An unexpected comedic nuclear bomb was dropped upon our unsuspecting society. I'm talking about Druski as Erica Kirk, and damn it, if that man hasn't gone and climbed his way to the A-List with that one, I don't know what'll put him there. It has so many white women so angry and for no other reason than the blackface/whiteface makeup double standard. Well since we're not going to be cancelling double standards anytime soon I have two suggestions. One, Erica Kirk should dawn blackface and do a Druski themed Minstrel act which I'm sure would cause a standing ovation at the Turning Point USA HQ. Or, we can just deal with it the same way we dealt with it when the Wayans Brothers did it...BECAUSE IT'S NOT A BIG DEAL. It's comedy, it's subjective, and it furthermore is an art-form in Druski's back pocket as a shining golden page on his resume. If you're unfamiliar with the man, which many of these really angry ranting white influencers seem to be then you should look him up. Watch an episode of "Coulda' Been Records" and he'll have you hooked. This was certainly something meant to cause controversy because what is the internet today without it? Besides that, what's with the sudden spike in Erica Kirk fangirls about besides feeding the racial tension machine in our part of the world anyway? My advice, don't let it make you too butt-hurt, it's true that if y'all did a blackface skit it would be a massive problem. It's also true that less than a century ago nearly every major Hollywood actor/actress had some kind of Minstrel act that was fought for to be declared "Cinematic History" rather than hateful. I don't think I ever pictured a time when white people couldn't take a joke and honestly you can't tell me that Erica didn't have it coming with all the bad press surrounding her right now.
